Boys' Youth Organizations

Youth lacrosse has grown dramatically in our region since the first boys programs were established in Springfield and Lower Merion in the early 1970s. Until the mid-90s, all youth programs were in one league - the Southeastern Pennsylvania Youth Lacrosse Association (SEPYLA).

The growth of the game at the youth level, however, led to the formation of the Chester County Lacrosse League (CCLA; see also www.cclalax.org), and, in 2005, the formation of the Penn Valley Youth Lacrosse League (PVYLL).

The game is also now being played in middle schools in the Philadelphia School District, in Lehigh and Northampton Counties and in the Scranton area. In 2006, two youth leagues started their inaugural seasons in the Philadelphia -- the Philadelphia Youth Lacrosse League (PYLL) and the Northeast Lacrosse League (NLL).

Please look at the various resources below to find a program near you. You can use the contact lists to contact representatives from the respective programs or teams:

If you want to start a program in your area, please review the New Start Program material, which appears on this site under "Chapter Programs."
