Spano Brothers tops Dolans

Brundage goal in 2nd OT lifts Spano Brothers past Dolans, 8-7, for Millard P. Robinson Summer League championship

Steve Brundage scored his third goal of the game in the second overtime as Spano Brothers edged Dolans, 8-7, Tuesday in a thriller to claim the 2009 Millard P. Robinson Men's Summer League Championship a Radnor High School.

Jeff Pfeffer added two goals for the winners while Pat Heim, Matt Cherry and Zack Donnelly each scored once. Goalie Joe Donnelly was a standout in the cage for Spano Brothers, making a point-blank save on Billy McGlone with 10 seconds left in the first OT.

For Dolans, goalie Matt Murray played strong while Mike Podgajny and Paul Middleton each scored twice and McGlone, Kevin Rayer and Cory Malampy each scored once.
