Asian-American Team

Players sought to compete in tournaments
Organizers are looking to form (depending upon the response) a Masters or Grand Master lacrosse tournament team comprised of Asian-American lacrosse players or players of Asian descent. They believe that there may be a core of Asian-American or players of Asian descent, nationally, who would be interested in playing on such a tournament lacrosse team. If there is a solid core of players, organizers would hope to have a roster formed to play, if slots are available, in the Lake Placid Tournament in August 2010, and/or the Florida Lacrosse Classic Tournament by 2011 in Weston, Florida. If you meet the criteria and are interested, please contact the organizers via e-mail with your name, age/DOB, college/club/US Lacrosse No., and position(s) played.
Note from the organizers: “We believe this team, representing Asian-Americans and/or players of Asian descent, who learned, and continue to play this great game, and we know can have a great time at the tournaments. Imagine post-game tailgating with 12 oz. curls, the wonderful odors of stir-fry, 1,000 year old eggs and pickled scallions, kim chee, sushi, and of course, hot pepper flakes, sesame oil, soy sauce and garlic emanating from our BBQ, served with long grain white rice with complimentary bamboo chop sticks. If we don’t beat them on the field, we can always sell food to go with fortune cookies. We hope you’ll be in touch with us soon.”
